Iowa HIMSS and Nursing Informatics
In 2003, the Iowa HIMSS Chapter received the National HIMSS Chapter Innovation Award for the development of a local Nursing Informatics Committee to provide networking and educational support for their nursing membership. The nursing informatics influence remains strong and nurses continue to be active participants within the Iowa HIMSS community.
